Loch an Eilen

Literally the loch with the castle. The area is owned by the Rothiemurcus Estate. The walk around the loch is on good paths. Each season provides its own backdrop to this beautiful place.
As with virtually every other castle in Scotland, Mary Queen of Scots is alleged to have been imprisoned here.
